SOLUS3 is a trio featuring harpist and percussionist Julia Thornton (Roxy Music, Bryan Ferry), drummer Hamilton Lee (Transglobal Underground, UNITE, Lunar Dunes) and bassist Ian Blackaby (Lunar Dunes). The seven track album includes a setting of a Lorca poem, an arrangement of the eponymous Vaughan Williams song and five pieces based on group improvisations.

The core trio are augmented by cameo appearances from Krupa and Sheema Mukherjee (Transglobal Underground), Canadian soprano Stacey Clark, guitarist Seb Hunter, throat singer Elii Geba and trumpeter James Williams. The distinctive sleeve images were created by Jan Dunning who has forged a considerable reputation as a fine art pinhole photographer.
